Nestled in Southern Utah, Ivins City, Utah, is a vibrant community that I have enjoyed traveling to for work and for pleasure.

This city offers a great variety of things to do, things to see, and places to go during any season. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend stopping to visit.

1.  The Community

Ivins City hosts a lively population of about 9,000 people. It’s a great place to live because of the small-town feel.

It’s only a 10-minute drive to St. George, making it a part of an area that is home to outstanding events, culture, and beautiful natural views.

2.  Arts and Culture

Washington County is no stranger to hosting large events for all to enjoy. Home to the Tuacahn Center for the Arts, Ivins boasts the largest outdoor theatre in Utah, serving thousands of patrons at their musicals, plays, and live concerts throughout the year.

When locals and tourists aren’t out enjoying the thrill of live performance, crowds enjoy the wonderful spas and resorts in town. The Red Mountain Resort offers accommodations for everyone, whether you decide to relax and hang out or gear up and prepare for an adventure out in nature.

3.  Activities in Ivins

Only a six-minute drive to the nearest trailhead in Snow Canyon State Park from downtown, Ivins is a perfect place to escape into the beautiful landscapes that Southwest Utah offers.

Nearby is Zion National Park, one of the most traveled and loved National Park in the country. If the crowds aren’t your speed and you want to enjoy beautiful hikes and views in solitude, try your hand at some hikes at one of the nearby landmarks, like Red Cliffs National Conservation Area or Gunlock State Park.

Washington county welcomes visitors to the hundreds of miles of hiking and bike trails. When you visit, you’ll have lots of options for exploring the area. Even driving through Ivins is a breathtaking experience because of the surrounding red rock formations.
